This is the famous "Onion Soup". It has been hold as a secret in the Bakke family for a long time.
However, here is it and may you all enjoy it in the coming cold winter.

Ingredients:

6 medium size onions (600 g)
25 g butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons flour
1½ l bright bouillon or water
salt
white pepper

Instruction:

  1. Slice the onions in thin slices.
  2. Melt the oil and the butter in a large pot.
  3. Stir the sliced onions into the melted oil and butter. Cook the onions for 10 minutes. Stir the onions to avoid the onions taking color.
  4. Turn the heat up and stir in the flour. Continue the stirring until the flour is light brown.
  5. Stir in the warm bright bouillon or warm water.
  6. Boil the soup for 20 minutes.
  7. Add salt and white pepper.

Serving:

Toasted bread or 7 seeds bread.
Add shredded cheese on top of the soup.
